Alkalinity: long-term exposure to strong alkaline substances.
Acidity: Source of any contaminating acid will eventually lower pH and pH levels below 7 will irritate skin.
Solvents: Solvents remove the natural protective oils from the skin, leaving the skin more exposed to chemical immersion.
Metals: The metals zinc, cadmium, chromium and nickel can cause allergic reactions and even severe skin irritation.
Concentration: High concentrations should be avoided and the highest concentration recommended for use given.
Dirty coolant: Suspended fine metal particles and abrasive particles can wear down skin and cause serious damage. Filter out fine particles from cooling or replace these coolants frequently.
